Our manufacturing capabilities are the main source of our strength. We employ progressive and current manufacturing theory, and embed the theory into our culture. Internally, we utilize Six Sigma Quality systems, work-cell theory, Kaizen, and Kanban inventory management. We are constantly seeking and finding ways to improve.
Our production is divided into highly specialized teams or “cells”. Each cell is managed on the floor by a team leader. All team members are trained on every stage of the manufacturing process for all products in their cell. This provides a co-operative and knowledge based environment, within which we are able to effectively control quality, maintain output, and continually improve our processes.
Our quality department plays a key role in any project, beginning early in the process and continuing through the life of the project. Our quality group collaborates with the customer to ensure the quality specifications will meet product needs. As we ramp-up, the quality group develops control plans, sets up shop floor process tests, and trains the work-cell team to ensure we consistently achieve your quality objectives.
Our quality system is based on ISO 9002 and Six Sigma. We have an on-site lab for testing of all quality variables.
Ranger purchases steel rod directly from the steel mills. This reduces cost, and ensures consistent quality of our raw material.
We draw and cut wire in-house to the gauge and length required, thereby controlling quality factors such as surface characteristics and dimensions that are critical to later processes in our plant.
Products we make typically require forming, welding and coating. We have a range of equipment to meet our customer’s product needs, including automatic CNC forming machines, high output automated welding equipment, and robotics for material handling. We manufacture custom machinery and tooling in-house, or outsource to a network of suppliers if required to meet the time lines of a project.
Ranger specializes in PVC and nylon coatings. We also offer a wide range of coatings, including epoxy paint, porcelain enamel, nickel, chrome and zinc. We coat to our customers’ specifications for thickness, adhesion, colour, product life and overall appearance.
We also do final assembly, kitting, and packaging, to customer specifications. This can often reduce the overall costs of your project.
